For Dry Needling
What is Dry Needling?
Sometimes misunderstood to be acupuncture, dry needling is primarily used to address muscle knots or trigger points in muscles that are causing chronic persistent pain. While the needle is the same type used it acupuncture, the approach to care is different.
Why use Dry Needling?
Muscles can sometimes be caught in a continual state of tension, they just won’t let go… This can cause annoying, ongoing pain. When one of these very fine needles is inserted into the right area of a muscle, (usually technically called a trigger point), this causes a neurological affect that tends to reduce the amount of contraction within the muscle therefore reducing tension, allowing better function and thus reducing pain. Dry needling can be done in conjunction with your chiropractic care.book an appointment
